FALL RIVER — Local authorities announced Saturday that the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) successfully executed a search warrant, leading to a significant drug bust at an apartment in the city.
The raid occurred on Friday, Nov. 15, at the residence of Shane Battle, who was the focus of the CAST investigation.
Officers from the Fall River Police Department conducted the operation which resulted in the confiscation of a variety of illegal substances and cash.
Detectives reported seizing $2,696 in cash, 72.2 grams of cocaine, 11 Suboxone strips, 10 glassine bags of fentanyl, 70 Diazepam .5mg pills, and 69 Diazepam 10mg pills from the location.
The Fall River Police Department highlighted the success of the operation as a testament to the dedicated efforts of CAST in combating drug-related activities within the community.
Further details regarding charges or court appearances for the suspect were not immediately available.
