AUBURN — Auburn Police Department detectives have arrested a local man on multiple charges related to child pornography following an extensive investigation.
The investigation began after detectives received a tip regarding an individual distributing child pornography from Auburn.
Upon verifying the information, the detectives secured a search warrant for the suspect’s social media account.
The warrant resulted in evidence confirming both the illicit material and the identity of the account owner.
Subsequently, a second search warrant was obtained for the residence of the account holder.
The execution of this warrant on Nov. 13 led to the discovery of additional evidence, culminating in the arrest of Mr. William Gulbicki.
Gulbicki was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, dissemination of child pornography, and secret sexual surveillance.
He was held on $5,000 bail and appeared in court the following morning.
After the arraignment at Worcester District Court, Gulbicki was released on his own recognizance with several pretrial conditions imposed.
The Internet Crimes Against Children task force aided the detectives in the execution of the home search warrant.
