WORCESTER — Worcester Police on Tuesday arrested a 66-year-old man in connection with a September break-in at Abby’s House, a local service provider for women and children.
Following a report of a commercial break on Sept. 17, officers were dispatched to the facility, where they confirmed a break-in had occurred, police said.
The case was handed over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives identified Larry Berry of Outlook Drive as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
At approximately 10:10 a.m. on Nov. 15, an officer from the Neighborhood Response Team spotted Berry driving near Harrison Street.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Berry on charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny in a building, possession of burglarious tools, and vandalism.
Berry was taken into custody without incident and is expected to face the charges in court.
The Worcester Police Department has not released further details on the items stolen or the extent of the damage to Abby’s House.
