Boston police seek public help to identify assault suspect

BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives from District D-4 are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to an aggravated assault that occurred in the South End.

The incident took place at the intersection of Herald St. and Washington St. at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Authorities described the suspect as a heavy-set, light-skinned black or Hispanic male who was operating a moped at the time of the assault.

The Boston Police Department is diligently investigating the details of the event.

They urge anyone with information to contact the District D-4 detectives at (617) 343-5619.

The department emphasizes that it will rigorously protect the identities of individuals who choose to assist the investigation while remaining anonymous.
