Danbury police seek witnesses in car versus moped collision

DANBURY — A moped rider was hospitalized with serious injuries following a collision on Padanaram Road at around 8:46 p.m. on Nov. 2, prompting an extensive investigation by local authorities.

Danbury Police Patrol Units responded to the scene of the motor vehicle accident (MVA) involving a car and a moped near 36 Padanaram Road.

The moped operator was promptly taken to the Danbury Hospital Emergency Room with serious, though non-life threatening, injuries.

The road was shut down in both directions for a few hours as the Accident Investigation Team worked the scene.

Investigators are now seeking to make contact with the driver of a dark-colored 2-Door Jeep Wrangler believed to be involved in the incident.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help.
