BOSTON — Boston police have arrested three men in connection with multiple brush fires near Franklin Park late Wednesday night.

At about 11:10 p.m., officers from District B-2 responded to reports of a fire at 170 Morton St. Thirty-three-year-old Jasen Levoy, 24-year-old Thomas Mullikas, and 25-year-old Augusto Bussio, all from Roxbury, were taken into custody.

The incident began around 10:30 p.m. when a sergeant observed a blaze near Shattuck Hospital and requested the Fire Department’s assistance.

A second fire was soon spotted, prompting concerns of arson and additional support, including aerial surveillance by police and fire drones.

The suspects were seen on the golf course, throwing objects at a fire department drone and then fleeing towards Jewish War Veterans Drive, where they were apprehended.

Levoy, Bussio, and Mullikas are set to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The Boston Police Arson Unit is investigating further.
