Plymouth police respond to shots fired, secure scene with no public threat

PLYMOUTH — At approximately 2:40 p.m. today, Plymouth Police Department officials reported to an active incident involving shots fired with at least one injury near Route 25 and the traffic circle.

Mountain Village Charter School and neighboring businesses were promptly locked down as a precaution.

Authorities affirmed that there was never an active threat within the school premises.

As of now, all students have been safely dismissed and are back with their families.

The individual linked to the incident has been contained, and officials have stated there is no further risk to the community.

While the situation is still considered active, law enforcement is working to resolve the matter safely and is urging the public to steer clear of the area to facilitate their operations.
