STAMFORD, Conn. — A 44-year-old Stamford resident was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Long Ridge Road early Thursday.
The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad reported that the incident occurred near the junction with Brook Run Lane at approximately 12:10 a.m.
The 2014 BMW motorcycle was traveling northbound when it veered off the road, striking a fence and then a tree.
The operator, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was ejected from the vehicle.
Sgt. Jeffrey Booth and Officer Lindsey Yanicky of the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad are leading the ongoing investigation.
