Cohasset detectives arrest Lawrence man, seek public’s help in vehicle theft case

COHASSET — Cohasset Police Department announced the arrest of Yamauris G. Sanchez, a 28-year-old Lawrence resident, on charges related to the theft of a $43,000 vehicle from a local business.

Following a month-long investigation led by Detective Julie Hall and Detective Lieutenant Michael Lopes, Cohasset police apprehended Sanchez and also arrested 22-year-old Sherlyn C.

Sanabia at her Haverhill home on Thursday morning.

Sanabia faces multiple charges including larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, receiving stolen property, conspiracy, and misleading a police investigation.

The police department is now requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect believed to be connected with the vehicle theft.

The investigation continues to be open and active as the stolen vehicle, a white 2022 Audi SQ5 sport utility, has yet to be recovered.
