CHELSEA — A Vermont State Police trooper was injured in a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 110 on Tuesday morning.
Trooper Michael Robidoux, 24, was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens activated around 8:43 a.m. when he lost control of his 2018 Ford Police Interceptor.
The cruiser was totaled in the incident, but Robidoux suffered only minor injuries.
According to the police report, the road conditions were wet, although the weather was clear at the time of the accident.
Robidoux was wearing his seat belt, which may have prevented more serious harm.
He was transported to Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, where he was treated for his injuries.
There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash.
The Vermont State Police are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
