Boston woman arrested for $4,800 shoplifting spree at Lululemon

BOSTON — A woman was arrested Saturday night after allegedly shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Lululemon store on Boylston Street.

Boston Police Department officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call at about 8:18 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the address of 776 Boylston Street, where they were informed of an ongoing shoplifting incident.

The officers received a description of the suspect and were told she had moved to a nearby Dicks Sporting Goods store.

Upon locating the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Kaitlyn Mclean of Ipswich, she dropped the stolen goods upon seeing the police.

Mclean was handcuffed, and officers recovered 48 items with an approximate value of $4,812.94.

Mclean was charged with Larceny over $1,200 and is also facing charges related to an active Shoplifting Warrant.

She is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
