SOMERVILLE — A man suspected of robbing a bank in late October was arrested Thursday by members of the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force together with the Somerville Police Department.
Conor Ezekiel, 41, of Arlington, was taken into custody in Boston this morning without incident, according to authorities.
The arrest stems from an incident on Oct. 28 when Ezekiel allegedly entered the Winter Hill Bank at 5 Cutter St. at 11:45 a.m., handed a note to the teller demanding money, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark vehicle.
The joint operation between the FBI and the local police led to a successful apprehension of the suspect.
Chief of Police Shumeane Benford commended the collaborative effort that led to the swift arrest.
Further details about the case or the amount of money stolen have not been disclosed.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending as the prosecutors build their case.
