Cromwell man turns himself in on sexual assault charge

CROMWELL — A local man surrendered to the Cromwell Police Department on Oct. 31 to face charges stemming from an active arrest warrant.

Salvatore Nesci, 55, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct, according to Police Chief Frederick Sifodaskalakis.

After turning himself in, Nesci was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

The charges against Nesci, whose date of birth is listed as Oct. 22, 1969, relate to Connecticut General Statutes 53a-73a and 53a-182, covering sexual assault in the fourth degree and disorderly conduct, respectively.

Nesci is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Nov. 12.
