Springfield man arrested for driving with suspended license, active warrant

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and an active in-state warrant, according to the Springfield Police Department.

On Oct. 19, at around 11:24 a.m., a vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation on Valley Street.

The driver, identified as Matthew Moses, was found to have a suspended Vermont driver’s license and an outstanding arrest warrant.

Moses was taken into custody at 11:35 a.m. without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

He is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Oct. 21 to respond to the charges.

The police note that the handling of bail and incarceration is a matter for the judicial system, not the police department.
