Fair Haven man arrested on outstanding warrant for counterfeiting charges

FAIR HAVEN — A local man was apprehended by police on Oct. 31 after officers discovered he was wanted on an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on counterfeiting charges.

Joshua B. Preseau, 42, of West St., was arrested by the Fair Haven Police Department after they stopped a vehicle he was a passenger in on Scotch Hill at 3:15 p.m.

The vehicle was pulled over for erratic driving on Rt 4.

Preseau was wanted on a warrant issued by Hon.

Judge Cortland Corsones of the Rutland District Court.

The warrant was issued following Preseau’s failure to appear for a court date on Sept. 23 regarding prior counterfeiting charges.

Following his arrest, Preseau was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.

Chief William Humphries led the investigation that resulted in Preseau’s arrest.
