NASHUA — A 37-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after Nashua police officers responded to a call about a suspicious individual at the Nashua Transit Center, leading to the discovery of a replica firearm and hatchet among allegedly stolen items in his possession.
Mark Dennis, who has a prior felony conviction, was taken into custody following a witness’s report that a man had displayed a bag of items claimed to be stolen at the transit hub located at 30 Elm Street.
The witness mentioned seeing a gun and machete inside the bag.
Upon responding to the scene, officers located Dennis on Main Street.
He matched the description given by the witness and was found with a replica firearm and a hatchet in his bag.
Given his status as a convicted felon, Dennis is prohibited from possessing such items.
Dennis was detained on $200.00 cash bail.
He is slated to attend his arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m.
