PORTLAND — Authorities made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a man on Portland and Alder streets after responding to a call on October 28 at 5:29 p.m.
Edgar Cando, 31, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died at Maine Medical Center.
Omar Abd Elkader, 21, was arrested at the Portland Police Department just over three hours after the shooting.
He faces a murder charge and is being held at Cumberland County Jail.
