Rhode Island man arrested on multiple drug charges

CENTRAL FALLS — Members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force arrested Miguel Guerrero Abad, 41, on Oct. 28 for alleged possession and intent to deliver significant quantities of cocaine.

Abad, residing at 181 Valley Street, Apartment 1, faces four drug-related charges, including possession with the intent to deliver over one kilogram of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

All charges specified relate to cocaine.

Following his arrest, Abad was processed at the Lincoln Barracks.

He received a special arraignment by a Justice of the Peace and was subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) Intake Center.

He is pending a morning arraignment in the Sixth Division District Court.
