Troy woman charged with burglary, possession of stolen property

TROY — A local woman faces burglary and possession of stolen property charges after Vermont State Police responded to a break-in at a Troy residence on Oct. 7.

At around 6:50 p.m., authorities were called to the home of 68-year-old Kim Richardson on Loop Rd.

According to the investigation, 38-year-old Nicole Richardson unlawfully entered the residence and took a riding lawn mower.

The stolen property was recovered and subsequently returned to its rightful owner.

Nicole Richardson, a resident of Troy, was issued a citation to appear in Orleans Superior Court on Nov. 12 to face the charges related to the incident.
