Alburgh man arrested on outstanding warrant

ALBURGH — Vermont State Police arrested a 41-year-old Alburgh man Sunday on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence of drugs.

Troopers responded to the Swanton-Alburgh bridge area at 11:09 a.m. Oct. 27 to investigate an earlier assault.

During the investigation, they located Donald Santore walking on East Alburgh Road.

Police discovered Santore had an active arrest warrant for DUI-drugs, first offense.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Santore was processed at the St. Albans barracks before being transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He is being held on $200 bail.

The assault that prompted the initial police response remains under investigation.
