Rhode Island state police make multiple arrests

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police made several arrests between Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning, including individuals wanted on warrants and for driving under the influence.

On Wednesday at 6:26 p.m., troopers arrested Austin Fogell, 29, of Warwick, on an arrest warrant for violation of a no contact order.

The arrest occurred after troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 146.

At 2 a.m. Thursday, Nicolette Tiberi, 39, of Cranston, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on a drug possession charge.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop in Providence.

In the same incident, Humphrey Roberts, 26, of Providence, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear and an arrest warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Both Tiberi and Roberts were apprehended during a traffic stop on Geneva Street in Providence.

At 3:30 a.m. Thursday, troopers arrested Ashlian Lebron Ortiz, 29, of Providence, for driving under the influence and failure to stop for an accident resulting in vehicle damage.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle crash on Route 146 South in North Smithfield.

All individuals were processed at State Police facilities.

Ortiz was arraigned and released with a future court date, while the others were either transferred to other facilities or held pending arraignment.
