DERBY — Vermont State Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy who ran away from Department for Children and Families custody on Tuesday.

Timothy Bradford of Lowell fled from DCF care around 7:05 p.m. on Oct. 24, police said.

He was last seen running toward the Price Chopper in Derby.

Bradford had been picked up earlier that day after several previous runaway incidents in recent weeks, according to authorities.

State police efforts to locate the teen have been unsuccessful.

They are asking anyone with information to contact the Derby barracks at 802-334-8881.

Law enforcement officials remind the public that intentionally aiding a runaway juvenile may result in criminal charges.
