Worcester police seize guns, drugs in traffic stop

WORCESTER — Worcester Police Vice Squad officers confiscated two loaded firearms and a significant quantity of fentanyl during a traffic stop on the evening of Oct. 23.

Upon receiving a tip that Christian Andino-Morales, 44, was allegedly distributing fentanyl from his Honda Pilot, officers conducted surveillance near Walgreens on Park Ave.

At approximately 8 p.m., they initiated a stop of the vehicle.

During the stop, officers discovered two handguns for which Andino-Morales did not possess a carrying license.

Additionally, they found a bag suspected to contain fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Andino-Morales now faces multiple charges, including two counts each of Carrying a Firearm without a License, Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.

He is also charged with Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute.

He was taken into custody pending further legal proceedings.
