SOUTHBOROUGH — A spree of car break-ins has left many Southborough, Marlborough, and Ashland residents dealing with the aftermath of theft as they woke up to find their vehicles burglarized.

The Southborough Police Department reported multiple incidents involving unauthorized vehicle entries and the removal of items on Maple Crest Drive, Meadow Lane, and Pinecone Lane.

The break-ins are believed to have occurred during the night, with residents discovering the damage and missing belongings this morning.

In one case, credit cards were stolen and attempts were made to use them in neighboring towns, indicating that the suspects may be operating in a broader area.

Authorities believe at least two suspects are involved in these crimes.

The police are now urging residents in the affected areas to check their vehicles, particularly if they were left unlocked last night.

They have also requested that anyone with security cameras review footage between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. for any suspicious activity.

Detective Jeff Norton has been tasked with the investigation of these incidents.

The Southborough Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.

Residents are encouraged to report any break-ins or share relevant security footage by contacting Detective Norton directly at [email protected] or calling the business line at (508) 485-2121.

The department thanks the community for its cooperation and reminds residents to secure their vehicles to prevent future occurrences of theft.
