Boston police identify victim in Jamaica Plain shooting

BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s District E-13 responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Craftson Way and South Huntington Ave at about 9:35 p.m. on Thursday.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 25-year-old man, later identified as Braulio Castillo of Jamaica Plain, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Castillo was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is now actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or motives at this time.
