BRAINTREE — A man was hospitalized Sunday night after suffering a gunshot wound in what Braintree Police are investigating as an isolated incident.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a person shot on Skyline Drive.
Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim received immediate medical attention from responding officers, firefighters, and paramedics before being transported to a hospital in Boston.
Authorities stated the injuries sustained by the victim are not expected to be life-threatening.
While the investigation into the shooting continues, officials have indicated that there is no perceived ongoing threat to the community.
