Connecticut police seek suspect in armed robbery at Columbia 7-Eleven

COLUMBIA — Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store on Route 66.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, Troop K personnel responded to the scene after the suspect entered the store brandishing a silver revolver.

The male suspect, who stands between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, demanded cash and cigarettes while wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, black shoes, a black face covering, and dark gloves.

The clerk complied with the demands, after which the suspect fled on foot toward Route 66.

It is believed he may have left the area in a dark-colored SUV.

The Eastern District Major Crime Squad (EDMC-K) is investigating the incident.
