Woman arrested on domestic assault charge in Poultney

POULTNEY — Vermont State Police responded to a reported domestic assault on Bird Street at approximately 12:09 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Jennifer Mesiti, 62, of Poultney, is accused of causing bodily injury to a family or household member.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks conducted an investigation which led to Mesiti’s arrest.

After being processed at the Rutland Barracks, Mesiti was released with conditions set by the court, including an order to appear at court on Oct. 21 at 12:30 p.m.

The Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim, adhering to their policy of protecting the identity of victims in cases of sexual assault or domestic violence.
