CORINNA — The Maine State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a red Mitsubishi Outlander involved in a theft at a local gas station.

Authorities report that the incident occurred today at the Big Apple gas station in Corinna, where the driver of the Outlander drove off without paying for gas.

The State Police are looking to the community for any information that can lead to the identification of the vehicle’s owner.

They urge anyone with knowledge of the incident or the vehicle’s owner to contact the Northern Field Troop barracks at 207.973.3700.

Investigators are relying on tips from the public to help close the case and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
