Plymouth couple killed in late-night car crash

PLYMOUTH — A single-car accident claimed the lives of a Rumney couple late Thursday night after their vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree near 175 Quincy Rd.

Plymouth Police Department responded to the crash at approximately 11:42 p.m. and found a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee down an embankment.

The driver, Mark Murray, 61, and his passenger, Susan Murray, 57, both of Rumney, New Hampshire, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was traveling westbound when it drifted from the roadway, resulting in a collision with a tree and a subsequent rollover.

Authorities are still investigating the crash and have not yet determined the cause.

Assistance at the crash site was provided by the New Hampshire State Police, Plymouth State University Police Department, and the Plymouth Fire-Rescue Department.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing as police continue to collect evidence.
