PROVIDENCE — A series of arrests were made by Rhode Island law enforcement on Oct. 17, targeting individuals wanted for a range of offenses including failure to register as a sex offender, drug possession, and indecent solicitation of a child.
Daniel Rivera, 41, of Providence, was apprehended by the RI Violent Fugitive Task Force on two Superior Court Full Bench Warrants.
Rivera failed to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on an initial charge of failing to register as a sex offender and had a filed technical violation for possession of a Schedule I-IV controlled substance.
After processing at the Lincoln Barracks, he was transported to Providence Superior Court.
In a separate operation, the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Robert Consorti, 63, from Wilmington, Massachusetts, for indecent solicitation of a child.
Consorti was processed at the Wickford Barracks and handed over to Homeland Security Investigations for a Federal indictment.
Jeffrey Sousa, 34, of Seekonk, Massachusetts, was arrested by members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit and the Lincoln Woods Barracks on a warrant for vandalism.
Sousa, identified as a Superior Court Probation Violator, was held overnight at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a morning arraignment in Second District Court.
The HIDTA Task Force took into custody Donovan Rivera Medina, 29, of Woonsocket, for cocaine possession with intent to deliver.
After his arraignment and processing at the Lincoln Barracks, Medina was turned over to the ACI Intake Center, awaiting his appearance in Sixth Division District Court.
Additionally, Paul Hache, 43, of Cranston, was arrested by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on multiple charges, including soliciting another to commit a crime, indecent solicitation of a child, and conspiracy.
Hache, a registered Level II sex offender, was held as a probation violator after arraignment and transported to the ACI.
