ROYALTON — A 33-year-old Royalton woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after her vehicle struck a guardrail on Interstate 89, Vermont State Police said.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks were alerted to the incident on Oct. 17 at approximately 6:40 p.m. They located the vehicle near Exit 3 on I-89 North after receiving reports of the collision.
The driver, identified as Krista Rogers of Royalton, showed signs of drug impairment during the traffic stop, according to authorities.
Following an investigation, Rogers was arrested and taken to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
Rogers was issued a citation to appear in court on Dec. 17 and was released.
The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the specific substances involved.
