Fugitive arrested in St. Johnsbury, held without bail

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 36-year-old homeless man was arrested on Bay Street Thursday afternoon on a felony warrant out of New Hampshire, according to the St. Johnsbury Police Department.

Christopher Rivers was taken into custody at 2:58 p.m. by police after being located on the street.

Captain Gray of the St. Johnsbury Police Department stated that Rivers is now facing charges as a fugitive from justice.

Following his arrest, Rivers was held without bail at the Northeast Correctional Complex.

He is scheduled to appear before the Caledonia court on Oct. 17.
