BATH — Two people were arrested Sunday after a standoff in Bath that involved a man allegedly threatening a woman with a gun.

Bath Police responded to a 911 call around 11 a.m. at a residence near Middle and Russell Streets.

Officers, believing the armed suspect was still inside the home, set up a perimeter and evacuated neighboring homes as a precaution.

The suspect, 28-year-old Noah Sibole-Little, was ordered out of the apartment and taken into custody without incident.

The Bath PD, assisted by the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, also detained 26-year-old Kayla Maheu following a search of the residence.

Evidence from the search led to the arrest of Sibole-Little and Maheu, who face multiple charges including illegal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug.

Both were transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail, with bail set at $2,000 for Sibole-Little and $200 for Maheu.

Chief Andrew Booth commended the collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies and thanked the community for their cooperation during the incident.
