Waterbury shooting victims identified, one dead, another stable

WATERBURY — Vermont State Police have released the identities of two men involved in a shooting in Waterbury that occurred on Monday.

Shawn Spiker, 34, from Croydon, New Hampshire, was pronounced dead following an autopsy at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington, which determined he suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a manner consistent with homicide.

The second victim, Michael S. Perry, 57, of Waterbury, is currently in stable condition at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

Authorities have finished processing the crime scene and are continuing their investigation by interviewing potential witnesses and local residents.

As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with the incident.

State police are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and contact the VSP’s Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191.

Further information will be shared by the Vermont State Police as the investigation progresses.
