OXFORD — Authorities have reopened Oxford High School following a closure caused by a threat early this morning, Connecticut State Police said.
The FBI alerted the Connecticut State Police Troop A to a threat made against the school.
Immediate action was taken, with notifications sent out and the school promptly closed to the public to ensure safety.
A swift investigation led to the interview of a suspect, who admitted to making the threat.
After ensuring there was no longer a danger to students and staff, the school grounds were reopened to resume normal activities.
State Police have not released further details on the suspect or any potential charges.
The Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office emphasized that the quick response was out of an abundance of caution and thanked the community for its cooperation.
