Pelham woman charged with DUI after crashing into utility pole

PELHAM — A local woman was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence after she crashed her car into a utility pole on Atwood Road, according to the Pelham Police Department.

The incident occurred on Oct. 12 at 6:48 p.m. near Peaceful Drive.

Pelham Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the scene of the single-vehicle accident.

Corporal Steven Russo led the investigation and identified the driver as 28-year-old Lauryn Beauregard of Pelham.

Investigative reports indicate that Beauregard was impaired during the incident.

She reportedly backed out of a driveway and then drove forward into the utility pole, causing significant damage to both the pole and her vehicle.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Following the investigation, Cpl. Russo arrested Beauregard.

She faces charges of Driving Under the Influence and Reckless Operation.

Beauregard is scheduled for arraignment at the Salem NH District Court on Oct. 21 at 8:00 a.m.
