NAUGATUCK — A smoke shop compliance check on Oct. 11 resulted in the arrest of an individual for selling illegal THC products near a local high school.

The Naugatuck Police Department, alongside the CT Consumer Protection Drug Control Division and the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force, conducted the operation at N&K Smoke Shop on 686 Rubber Avenue.

Officials uncovered THC products not permitted for sale outside licensed dispensaries, equivalent to approximately 1.14 pounds of marijuana.

Brion Henry, born July 13, 2002, faces charges for possession with intent to sell cannabis under C.G.S. 21a-278b.

Henry also had an outstanding warrant from a prior compliance check and received additional charges for conspiracy to possess with intent to sell cannabis.

The crackdown follows local advocacy groups’ concerns about the availability of illegal products near Naugatuck High School.
