Lewiston police, DEA seize drugs, make arrests in Blake Street raid

LEWISTON — Law enforcement officers from the Lewiston Police Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a raid on an apartment that resulted in the arrest of two men and seizure of a significant amount of drugs, authorities said Thursday.

The operation took place Wednesday morning at the residence located at 251 Blake St, Apartment #39.

Officials executed a search warrant that led to the arrests of Chad Fogg, 42, and Joseph Moore, 27, both from Lewiston.

Fogg is facing charges of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class B crime, and violation of conditions of release, Class E.

He was reportedly out on six separate conditions of release at the time of his arrest.

Moore has been charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class A offense, and possession of a firearm when prohibited, Class C.

During the search, investigators seized 142 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 2 grams of methamphetamine, and a pistol.

The presence of materials and evidence consistent with drug trafficking was also found within the apartment.

The DEA Task Force and the Auburn Police Department’s Pace Unit provided additional support in the investigation.
