Boston police seek public’s help to identify armed suspect in Roxbury incident

BOSTON — Detectives from the Boston Police Department’s District B-2 are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a recent armed confrontation in Roxbury.

The incident occurred around 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, near 62 Magnolia Street.

According to police, the suspect broke into a vehicle and brandished a knife when the vehicle owner confronted him.

The individual then fled the scene on a bicycle heading toward Quincy Street.

The suspect is described as a black Hispanic male, last seen wearing a red hat, black jacket, light blue jeans, and carrying a black backpack.

The Boston Police Department is diligently investigating the circumstances of the incident and urges anyone with information to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

The department assures that the identities of those who provide tips anonymously will be protected.
