Taunton man faces multiple charges after Woburn narcotics operation

WOBURN — An undercover operation conducted by the Woburn Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit last night led to the arrest of a 56-year-old Taunton man on numerous charges, including firearm offenses and drug trafficking.

The suspect was arraigned today in Woburn District Court facing charges for multiple firearm offenses, trafficking methamphetamine, distribution of cocaine, and possession and distribution of various pills.

During the operation, police seized a fully loaded Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum revolver, $3,200 in cash, 88 grams of methamphetamine, 4.8 grams of cocaine, and over 100 pills.

Authorities also announced that an additional criminal complaint will be filed against a 34-year-old Burlington man for his involvement in the incident.

The investigation’s results underscore the department’s ongoing commitment to combating drug-related crimes in the community.
