FAIR HAVEN — A local woman was arrested on Oct. 11 following an investigation into an alleged assault that occurred last month, the Fair Haven Police Department reported.
Laura Notarino, 53, was taken into custody after police responded to a complaint of an attempted assault on Main Street on Sept. 14.
According to authorities, Notarino is accused of threatening to harm another individual with a hammer.
The Fair Haven Police, led by Ptl. Tyler Duel, launched an investigation that ultimately resulted in Notarino’s arrest.
She has been charged with simple assault and was released with a summons to appear in Rutland district court to face the charge.
No further details regarding the incident have been released, and no photo of Notarino was available at the time of her arrest.
