Lewiston man arrested for aggravated sex trafficking

LEWISTON — A 57-year-old man was arrested by the Lewiston Police Department on Oct. 11 for aggravated sex trafficking, authorities reported.

Frederick Jackson is accused of compelling women to engage in prostitution, according to police.

The investigation, which led to Jackson’s arrest, began after reports surfaced of his alleged activities.

Jackson, who is currently on probation, is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on charges related to the trafficking investigation, as well as other offenses.

Police believe there could be additional victims and have issued a call for anyone with information to come forward.

The Lewiston Police Department has designated Task Force Officer Josh King as the point of contact for tips related to this case.
