IRA — Vermont State Police apprehended a 32-year-old Rutland man in the early hours of Oct. 10 after finding him in a vehicle he was not authorized to operate and with a suspended driver’s license.
Anthony Baker was discovered by troopers at around 3:09 a.m. on Blue Star Drive after they received a report of a suspicious vehicle.
An investigation at the scene revealed Baker was driving with a criminally suspended license and without the vehicle owner’s consent.

A citation was issued for him to appear in Rutland County Superior Court on Nov. 25 to respond to charges of operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license and without the owner’s consent.
A search warrant was later obtained and executed on the vehicle, which led to the discovery of 2.6 grams of cocaine.
Baker received an additional citation for cocaine possession, with a court appearance scheduled for the same day.
It was also confirmed that Baker was wanted on a Federal Arrest Warrant.
He was held without bail at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
