Irasburg teen victim of hit-and-run, police seek information

IRASBURG — A hit-and-run incident on VT Route 14 has left a local teenager’s vehicle damaged and the authorities searching for the driver responsible, Vermont State Police reported.

A 17-year-old driver from Irasburg was pulling out of a private driveway in his 2021 Subaru Ascent around 8:18 p.m. on Oct. 7 when his car was struck by a dark-colored truck.

The truck did not stop and continued on VT Route 14, leaving the teen with a damaged front bumper.

Vermont State Police Derby Barracks responded to the scene after receiving the report of the collision.

Trooper Alford is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

The police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate the driver of the dark-colored truck involved in the incident.
