EVERETT — After a month-long investigation, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant in Malden this morning, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana, hundreds of illegally possessed pharmaceutical pills, drug paraphernalia, and more than $22,000 in cash, Police Chief Strong reported.
The operation was led by Detective Richard Connor and involved the Special Criminal Investigations Unit, EPD Patrol Division, and Malden Police.
Two individuals were arrested during the raid.
Robert Stopford was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Randy Noe faces multiple charges, including possession of a Class D substance with the intent to distribute (marijuana), possession of a Class B substance (cocaine), and possession with the intent to distribute for several other Class B substances, such as suboxone, methadone, and oxycodone, as well as a Class E substance, alprazolam.
The investigation and arrests underscore the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat illicit drug activity in the area.
