Vikings aerial attack dooms Falcons

LYNDON CENTER –– The Lyndon Vikings scored touchdowns on their first six possessions as they rolled past the North Country Falcons 62-21 Saturday.

The Vikings, now 5-1 scored on the games first play. Senior quarterback Ethan Lussier hit tight end Wyatt Mason across the middle and Mason broke away for a 66 yards scoring play.

The Vikes recoverted an onside kick and scored again as junior Logan Wheeler hauled in a 31 yard strike from Lussier.

The Falcons answered with a five yard jaught from QB Hayden Boivin but LI got one right back as Becket Bailey was open and Lussier found him for 24 yards and a 19-6 lead. 

North Country made it a close game again as freshman sensation Jamison Eckhardtwent ran in from two yards out making it 19-12 early in the second quarter. 

Lyndon blew the game open after that as tailback Chase Sanville ran in from 8 yards out before Lussier threw his fourth touchdown pass of the half to Jacob Griffith.

The Vikes added three more second half scores to the Falcons one and when the dust settled it was a one sided final

The Falcons, now 2-4 on the year head to Hartford to take on the Division One power Hurricanes Friday night before closing out the regular season at home against Mount Abe Oct 18th.
