NORTH ADAMS — North Adams police made multiple arrests on Thursday, Oct. 3, following two separate operations that disrupted local narcotics distribution networks.
In the early hours, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence implicated in drug sales.
The target of the investigation yielded substantial evidence, including crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and cash believed to be proceeds from the illicit trade.
A man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested at the scene.
He faces charges for possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, marking a subsequent offense.
Later that evening, the Detective Unit stopped a vehicle just over the border in Adams.
The driver, whose license had been suspended, was taken into custody.
Observations by the officers led to a probable cause search of the vehicle and its two other occupants.
This search uncovered additional quantities of crack cocaine, heroin, pills suspected to contain fentanyl, more scales and packaging materials, and cash.
All three Pittsfield men were arrested, with charges varying from operating after suspension, possession with intent to distribute Class B substances, possession of Class A substances, and conspiracy.
The North Adams Police Department extended gratitude to the Adams Police Department for their support during the vehicle stop.
