West Springfield police seek help identifying vandalism suspects

WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West Springfield Police Department is reaching out to the community for help in identifying a group of individuals linked to vandalism and theft at Clark Field.

Authorities reported that seven suspects were involved in the incidents, which occurred on Saturday, Sept. 21, around 9:45 p.m., and again on Sunday, Sept. 29, at a similar time.

The group is accused of causing significant damage and stealing property, with losses amounting to thousands of dollars.

The crimes included breaking into the ticket and concession building at the sports facility.

Officials noted that the suspects approached the field on foot from the direction of West Springfield Middle School and were seen leaving towards Piper Road.

The police have released images of the individuals, highlighting specific clothing items to aid in identification, such as a blue “Gymshark” hoodie.

The West Springfield Police Department urges anyone with information about the crimes or the identities of the individuals to contact the WSPD Detective Bureau at 263-3210 or West Springfield High School Resource Officer Seidell at 263-3400 ext. 6402.

To ensure the community’s willingness to assist, the department has offered the option for callers to remain anonymous while providing tips.
