BRISTOL — A local contractor has been accused of home improvement fraud after failing to complete a pool servicing project for which he was paid.

Michael Kenyon, 46, of Vergennes, was cited by Vermont State Police on Sept. 10 after an investigation into claims made by Caitlynn Pecor, 32, of Bristol, who alleged that Kenyon did not fulfill a contract for pool services.

According to authorities, Kenyon, operating through Valley Pool and Spa Service LLC, received a deposit from Pecor but never completed the work.

Over several months, Pecor attempted to contact Kenyon to either finish the project or return her deposit.

Despite these efforts, Kenyon neither provided the services nor refunded the money.

The Vermont State Police’s investigation resulted in Kenyon being issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Dec. 30 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charge of Home Improvement Fraud.
